    Anyone have a report on Monroe. Have'nt seen any reports lately.
    The bite was definitely off for us at Crescent today. Was thinking about going to Monroe.

    We fished the edges and pads. Caught 2 - left at noon.

    I fished the area yesterday afternoon...the wind was blowing pretty good so we stayed in the river north of Monroe and it was slow. Couldn't get a bite trolling but caught a few along the edge of some pads. Tried one last spot for the last 10 minutes of daylight on the way back to the ramp and every cast produced a fish almost immediately but had to leave....should have tried there first. In those 10 minutes lost a pretty good speck and about a 3lb bass before we could boat them but put 3 big channel cats in the cooler and lost another. I don't usually keep catfish but my buddy likes them.

    Hit monroe this morning....cold....wind...choppy...that seems to be my luck!! caught a few two were 14"....kept three for supper tonight!!
