Put in there at Coes at 7am. Ran up the river and started fishing in some deep water. Real foggy. Pretty slow bite to start of with. After the fog lifted we began to have a real steady bite. Tennessee Bleeding shad with Litewire Hook was the hot bait. As it approached lunch time the river got real crowed. I decided to run way up the river to a spot that I had caught some shellcrackers last year. It was a good ways up. The water was a little shallower than I'd rembered. About 10 foot deep. I dropped tripling motor down and right away I had some bait fish on my screen . Caught a bunch of small fish but this pig here pulled a little drag. 2.4 . " The Man" checked us later in the day and he couldn't find a fish in the box that he thought needed to be measured. Made me feel good. Came back to Valdosta with 28. Gonna eat good at the mason lodge next Tuesday.
haha...i remember you from the bait store...any buzzards at coes?
Lol..those rascals tore my wipers and bearing caps up two weeks ago...yesterday my buddy parked the truck way up the hill. They didn't seem to bother it up there.
You are the man....good report. We did good in the River also and like you say......it does get crowded. Heard good reports coming from the lake......and I'm riding a Lawn Mower!!!!!
