    I'll be visiting a friend of mine in Zephyrhills in about 1 to 2 weeks. Are there any good crappie lakes near and someplace I could rent a boat instead of pulling mine down from Missouri. Thanks in advance.

    Lake Tarpon is best place for the area..............
    2,500 acre impoundment damed to keep salt water out and fresh water in.
    Has large variation of fish avail. Crappie - Bass - Bluefill - Redear - Catfish
    & Gar.
    Unknown about any boat rentals on lake unless you try Marina at Palm Harbor

    If your willing to rent a boat and purchase bait you can spend a little more and hire a guide, that would be my suggestion. There are several good guides in the area. I can give you a few numbers if you are intrested.
