    Personally, I'd go with Humminbird. I know nothing about Garman, but my Humminbird 798 out performs my Lowrance Elite 7 hands down!!

    798's along with 597's combo's work excellant for what we need in state of Florida.
    Not working with depth of some Northern Lakes...........
