I lurk a lot on the forum reading all the reports from you guys in central/south florida. Pick up a lot of good tips which are appreciated. But we got a few up here in the Panhandle too. The Choctawhatchee River area has some good'uns. We are about 90 miles west of Lake Talquin.
With a Kansas snowbird friend we had a good day on the river yesterday.
3 - 14 to 15 inches, one just short of 14.75, 2 lb 4 oz. first fish of the day caught by Ron and the only fish from that spot
8 - 13 to 14 inches
5 - 12 to 13 inches
10 - 11 to 12 inches
3 - 10 to 11 inches
2 - 9 to 10 inches
1 - 8 to 9 inches
32 total
Several less than 10 inches were released.

Great report, nice mess of fish![]()
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Cool report and pics
Nice fish Walt. You've been dialing in on the crappie lately!
Will try to do it again Thursday and find some new crappie habitat. Keep Specks and reds have been scarce as hens teeth the past several days.
Great report! I love that area. I was doing a lot of work in the Defuniak/Freeport area when the construction crash hit.
crappielimits maybe you can come back soon. Over 600 building permits have been issued for south Walton and recovery is on the upswing. Not like it was before, but improving.
