Thread: Okeechobee

Anyone know what the water quality is on the lake now? There were a lot of problems earlier this year on both sides of the state that were apparently caused by water being dumped from Lake O into the estuaries.

The water is good. Fish are biting, fished week before xmas. 30 to50 fish a day,only 10 or so keepers a day, lot of small fish. All the bad you herd was from fresh water discharged into saltwater rivers. It has been and most likely will be a major issue for some time to come.

Okeechobee is alive and well! Clean clear water, lots of emergent vegetation, and both speck and bass fishing have been good.
