Jim, I do not live near Talquin, but feel compelled to compliment you on your rig. It looks like a perfect boat with ample space to move around.

It is a war eagle predator 861. i really like it so far. that is a company picture of the boat, not mine, but same color with 115 hp mercury four stroke on the back. i have added four more rod holders around the boat. only drawback, being aluminum, it bobs around in waves a lot more than my old fiberglass bass boat did. Jim.

Got a 961 Predator. Solid black red and gold trim. Coming down Thursday and will be staying at Pat Thomas Park for at least a week. Hope to see you on water and also talk fish.

will look for you. i think i saw you out there last week or so. does your boat have picture of jigs on the side too? do you make the lite wire jigs that are sold at LTL and around here? i like them when i get snagged up on the wood here. they don't hold well on the stripers, but i still use them. i love catching the stripers. what fighters. got a 42 pounder years ago in the midwest. i longline too, but do slow trolling and slip bobbering with minnows too. popsicle and acid rain have been my best colors, roadrunners for the the stripers. this am rain moving in. WON'T BE ABLE TO GO OUT!! frustrating as i haven't been out for days due to wind and cold. still finding most of the crappie out from that bluff between freeman and blount creeks. Jim

Yes......thought I saw you last trip. I make all the litewirehooks sold at LTL......they have a good selection and largest selection of Jigs. I usually try to let the striper get off......but if I try to catch them.......use 1/8 RR with #1 Litewirehook.

love the people at LTL, esp jared-he is a great guy. they do have a great supply of jig bodies and good crappie rods. i talked to Jeff DuBree at whippoorwill lodge/the last cast restaurant. he expressed an interest in carrying your lite wire jigs if you are interested. Jeff is a good guy. Jim

You are located on a good part of the lake for catching crappie this time of the year, Jim. You won't have to go far to find a good spot, that's for sure. It's been 2-3 weeks since I have been down there, but from Blount Creek to the dam is usually hot this time of the year...And you are Spot On about Jeff, he is a good guy. I am thinking about talking to him about having our Slabfest at The Whippoorwill next year. I'll look for you when I get back down there..Good Luck
