When tying off that first looper jig, as TC says make it somewhat lone and once loop
and jig are tied, tie couple more knots in looper, that will make it stiffer and stand out
from main line better and lesson chance of tangling ..............
Remember heavier jig on top lighter on bottom so when pulling it will ride a little higher
in water column.
"make or take notes on everything that happens...temp, speed, depth, bottom
contour, type of jig, weight, list goes on and on and on....time of day, cloudy
overcast, sun shine, full moon / new moon days on calender.............Sounds like
a lot but will pay off down road a whole bunch............practice, practice, practice
make notes...

Catching spec's in Florida is much different than catching spec's in Ms - Al -Ga
Tn - Ky - Tn - Oh - In & Ill.
We have stained water here vs clear, cloudy spring fed in Northern States..What you
thought worked up North will not come close at times to working down here. You are
also dealing with Black Crappie vs White-Black combinations up North. These Blacks
are more heat tolerant and are not as predictable as people think. Very rarely will
you see films, or writings about the Big Time Crappie guys finding and catching Spec's in Florida - just dosen't happen (different world down here)

Just go fishing.....ain't no wrong way!!!!!

Amen on get out and have fun at it........sometimes the more you get into it
the more a person looses the concept of what fishing is all about.......
Greatest treasure there is is to take a child fishing and watch them catch fish........
The looks, reactions are pricless .............Same goes when you and friends go out
fishing..........It is not necessary the fishing aspect but the time spent together is
what life is all about...............Thanks Mike for bringing me back to reality...........
