    Smile Lake Tarpon


    Went to Lake Tarpon today to check out my new ipilot trolling motor works great love it didn't get to lake to start playing with motor until about 11:00 am so then I started to do a little crappie fishing i ended up catching 17 keeping 9 for fryer was there about 3hrs. Was nice to be out fishing again

    Tarpon excellant fishery..........good eating fish, solid meat, good shoulders on them.

    2,534 acres ..........semi stained water.

    FCC had tournament on it November 23rd............

    I got my I pilot last summer. I love it. Warning don't set the stay in this spot in a canal. It will turn the boat by itself if winds kicking and turn u around . it has no way of knowing u got 12 poles out.What a mess lol

    This lake is just off highway 19 just south of tarpon spring rd. it's about 2500 acres

    That's what I was wanting to hear, going to be in the St. Pete area in a couple of weeks looking for some close places to crappie fish. Also while im on here does anyone know anything about Seminole Lake in the Largo/Seminole area.

    Use to be a good bass lake they say was told the lake Was pretty dirty not sure about crappie but tarpon is a good lake

    Yes i used to live down there before finding lake talquin and moving to panama city beach. Lake talquin is 1.5 hrs away but better than 5.5! Anyhow been on lake seminole a couple of times but didn't do any good. About 4 to 6 feet all over except at the bridge on 102nd street.
    You can try because i never did numbers at lake tarpon either, but nice crappie in there. Fair brim too.
