Default My brother just moved from Anchorage

To Appalachcola Fl. I live up here in North MS. When he passed thru I took him to Sardis rez for cranking crappies. It put a craving on him. He is a son of the south although he had been in Alaska for over 30 years.

My question is can y'all give me some decent locations for him to crappie fish around his new home. A friend of his is bringing my brothers Lowes tunnel boat down for him so he will have access to a boat.

    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks, downsouth

Talquin!! Quincy Fl I think. There are some Talquinettes on here that will probably chime in.. Or he can drive 20 minutes down to Port St Joe and go scalloping.

Talquin is prolly the closest major lake but it's full of gubers

Talquin is deffentely the lake for him. But I would not be doing cranks on that lumber yard.

I agree.....Talquin would be the place. The fish run kinda small compared to Monroe and Crescent but it's a lot closer.

Have him join us Nov 9th at Lake Talquin Lodge for the fall slabfest. Will get to meet a great bunch, see different setups and have a great time. Well worth spending the weekend learning and having fun.
