Man sorry to hear about that. Sometimes I think punishment in foreign countries would work better for us. They like to chop off parts of thieves. No jail time needed. Hope your home owners ins kicks in for those $500 batteries and that $1000 charger, just sayin.

That's so aggravating. Crazy what people will do. We almost got taken for a lot of money from some crooked people the other day. They weren't going to give the money back until the police threatened to process them for fraud and misrepresentation.

So sorry to hear they got all that stuff.

I have had the same problem. Since your boat has a tarp, consider using the attached driveway alarm. If someone gets in your boat, it will notify you. This depends upon where you place it. Normally when I am traveling on the road for King Kat tournaments, I use it. I have to watch were I place it. If I have it to high, it will pick up cars passing. I want to detect their feet. Less false alarms. I also get a room that I can see my boat. Check Harbor Freight out. Search results for: 'alarm'

Thanks for your concern everyone, i'm just not use to having to live with thieves all around. Two weeks ago they tried to break into the house. Moved from an area in PA. where unlocked doors and cars are still common. Going out to cleanup the boat to get ready to sell. Not even sure I want some freak coming over to look at the boat just to see what else they could steal.
Fishergurl, sorry to hear about your problems, glad everything worked out OK.
Hope to see everyone soon............time to put all this crap behind and get back to fishin..........

Bum deal Andy, what a better place this world would be if these types actually worked as hard at a legitimate job, but your dead on that they can't take away your passion for time on the water!! See yah soon.

I think too that it may have been someone in the area that needed a battery for his boat, they came ready as they cut all the wires and straps off clean. They had to have a car because I don't think they could have carried it off down the street. You just can't have anything nice anymore without some %#€ # trying to take it from you.
Andy PM me when your ready to sell. I have a friend that might be interested. BLSD

I hear ya Andy. You'll have to screen and filter through many idiots...maybe over the phone, rather than have every jackleg come by your home to see what else you have. I hate it that we have to be so wary.

Those Harbor Freight Drivway alarms work great, just put the detector under your cover in the boat and when anyone lifts the cover it goes off in your bedroom. It has great range and long battery life, for under twenty bucks its cheap insurance and you can use it when your on the road.

Sorry about your stuff.I once had 6 rods and reels and a nice, full three drawer tackle box stolen. The minute you realize some no account robbed you the first thing through your mind is "I wish I would have seen them" then after you have a chance to think about what you would have done your next thought is "sure glad I didn't see them" The boat will sell better without all the blood stains!
