I have had some good trips to Talquin in September, but it is still pretty warm then. October usually brings cooler weather and better fishing at Talquin and November is great...I'd say anytime from October forward would be a good time.....Oh yeah, did I mention Speckanator will be at Talquin in November???

    Default Fall Fishing

Seems to me I remember that October was about the best fishing we had
    last year. Mostly Monroe.

Middle of October starts everything......November or when the fish are in the open water is great and first time the fish go shallow is something else.....last year 6 Jan, the fish were in 3 feet of water....but moved deeper later on till it warmed for good. May is wonderful......
