I'm tempted to pull the jon boat over there with the pretty boat...then anchor off and slide back there in the jon boat. You still might have to wade and pull it part of the way. We need a 18" to 2' rise to get back in there. It might be for nothing...it can't be but 3' deep in the deepest areas and the fish population may be gar food by now.

Nice reportI'll let ya know how we do tomorrow.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Lake Yale is where they hide.................west side.........so says a little birdy![]()

Well, started the day at 3:30am, picked up my fishin partner & his boat in Osteen. Put the boat in at 5:45am & headed across Dora to go south to Carlton. Made it up in the canal & was gettin ready to go across BeauClair & he notcied the water pressure gauge was at 0. Pulled up to the bank & checked the motor over - hoses, etc. Still no water comin out of the motor
, he had just used the boat on Thursday & it was workin fine. So we put the trollin motor down & started fishin right there, fished around deer island - caught 5 specks all day & nothin was over 11". Made it back to boat ramp with the trollin motor, released the fish & went home.
So, I will be replacing the water pump in my boat before the slabfests start- just because. We didn't hang around for the weigh in so I don't know the results but it was a hard day for most I think. We talke d to a few guys before we left & they said if ya had about 5-6 lbs you'd prolly have it won.
