    Default Howey's old bridge

Article in the Orlando Sentinel paper March 28, 2013 indicates that the old bridge that crosses Little Lake Harris, from Hickory Point to Howey-in-the-Hills will be torn down after a new replacement bridge is built, IN FOUR YEARS.

It has been about 15 years, but I spent several night fishing under that bridge.

At one time people night fished off the bridge. Never did myself, but have been there when
there would be a bunch fishing off the bridge. They would lower lights and fish.

Maybe they will just build the new one over Royal Harbor, then we can all just go visit John.

That would be very nice. But I bet with some good investigating you would find it already sold and slated to be an offshore reef on our coast. Bigger $$ to the tourism industry and larger focus by Fish and Game and NOAA.
