I always run the risk of missing someone when I start thanking folks, but they know they're appreciated. The best way to describe the event was a Goobermania.....two weeks of prefishing with pretty sad reports then the unexpected. I would have bet the total fish brought weigh-in would have been 2 or 3 at the most. But, even with the wind we had some great weights for Griffin. Thanks to..... shu for the fishing reports....phantom for donating the jiggin poles(2) and trailer adapter.......tritonslayer for the Dardin Cards......spectacular for the crappie structure doohickey, shirts , koozies, and mouse pad......crappiegirl for the special cake......65 pontiac tackle donations, flycaster for running the show and the on boardcharge, Billbob for the koozies and the engraved crappie.com sign and Slab for the door prizes and all the gifts for our new folks. I know I've left folks out, but believe me you are appreciated. Thanks to everyone for the raffel donantions and the donations for raffel tickets.
We had 39 people attending with several new folks coming to their first slabfest. The coverd dishes really made the meal more enjoyable and I know everyone loved the variety of food we had this time.
Susan and I stayed at the Griffin State Park along as did Russ and we had a great time. Every night Ed and Ted (goober twins) stopped by the campsite for some BS by campfire and we highly recomend that park to anyone who camps.
