Nice Roy, funny you mentioned night fishin, a couple weeks ago I made a 2hr ride to Crooked lake to catch (1) fat 13"er & (1) bass & (1) good shellie, moved aroumd alot & marked plenty of fish in the deep water, 20ft+ only problem I'm not much of a jig pro like Crappieday, now the point, when returning to the ramp all the boats in the slips at Bob's landing had lites mounted completely around their boats, they must bring them up out of the deep with the lights, I just got this vibe them under water springs make them lunker bass there, so why not a 3lb+ speck!
crappie down !
Sounds like a nice trip, hope we'll see ya at the April slabfest at Monroe
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Rosalie is like wooden bowl upside down, there are some real dandies in there,
when night fishin if you can find what contour line they are riding- its game on.
Plenty of 2 lb plus in there... I usually start at 10' level on night runs.
Early am trolling (long-lining) is good at Rosalie starting up by the old resturant
and working east down side of lake......
Reference the gentleman fishing Crooked, nice lake plenty of good quality fish there
year around......got to watch locals where they go at dusk for the night set....
as it is completely different than day fishing because of clarity of water, very little
if any stain.....another reason why most fish at night so as not to spook'em.
