Visit to Florida

Ok here's the deal a friend of mine is traveling to a campground around Swanne not sure of the spelling, but he is interested in doing some fishing, he doesn't mind what kind of fishing, he wants to lease a boat for a couple of weeks or hook up with someone who needs a fishing buddy for a few trips, he said he was about 15 miles from the gulf coast and real near the river, don t know which one if you could help let me know. Here or by PM. Thanks.

Don't know much about that area. The Suwannee water level may be low now, I'm not sure. I imagine there is plenty of bank fishing anywhere on the river. The gulf area is always good fishing. Just find yourself a baitshop and go from there. Good luck and welcome to Florida

That river has some really pretty spots. My dad took us camping there when I was younger, but never been fishing there and can't remember seeing in posts in the last year that I've been on the forum.

But good luck and that's nice of you to help your friend out.

You are in luck my friend! My rehab man (for my fractured knee) has a home on the swannee just close to where you are talking. I will see him again next tues and get as much info as i can for u.he fishes and boats the swannee

call millers marina 352-542-7349 you can rent everything from a johnboat to a houseboat on the suwannee.them houseboats are like floatin condos,a little pricey though.GL Lee

As promised i talked with my friend who lives kinda in the middle on the swannee. He says From Fowlers to the Gulf will be the best for fishing. all types of fish, good fishing. let us know!! have fun
