Trip to Florida (semi vacation)
Me and my wife are thinking about moving to the Jacksonville area in a few years. We are going to take a week off just to drive there from Louisiana to have a small vacation. I hope the crappie fishing is just as good!!
If you guys know any nice areas to live in around there please post!!

Crescent Lake is only 1 hour and 30 minutes (or less) for J-Ville. I would definitely put that one on your bucket list!!

Jax is a really big city, spread out. Coming from a small town in SC it was kind of overwhelming when I first moved. I stay in Middleburg, which is south of Jax and about a 20 min ride. IF I had it to do all over again I would have bought a house in Green Cove Springs. In either middleburg or green cove you are less than a hour to Sante Fe, Loochloosa, Orange, Sampson, Alto, and a few other small places. You are about a hour away from Crescent, Rodman Reservior, and Lake George.

Crescent lake, Lake monroe, Lake George and all the creeks here in jacksonville are brackish and there are plenty of fish in them.
