'Twas the night before the throwdown, when all through the state,
All batteries were charging, and everything was great....

And blindhog in his sweats, and rawhide on his porch, Had just settled down after sending the Quincy girls home! ( ok ok I know it doesn't rhyme)
When out on the docks there arose such a clatter, They all sprang from the beds to see what was the matter:
Away to the window half asleep they stood, Tore open the shutters and knocked down the plywood!
The moon on the water of the cold December night, Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects in sight,
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear, But a TnT and Maggie downing a case of beer!
With a only a few hours til light, they knew in a moment things weren't right,
More rapid than eagles their voices then came, And they whistled, and shouted, and called everyone by name;
'Now, 30 more! now, chuckauten now, rawhide and no mercy! On, blindhog! on heavylead! on, lightwirehooker and airpressure!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now get to the dock! take it away! take it away all!'
They sprang to the dock, their team gave a cheer,... And as fast as they could, they drank all the beer.
then I heard them slur, "we may not win we fear"..... but what the heck, there's always next year!
