    Default Monroe vs Talquin Rematch!

IT"S OFFICIAL the Talquin bunch has accepted our request for a THROWNDOWN REMATCH. December 15th we will weigh the heaviest 7 fish from our group and place a call to the Talquin Bunch and match weights for braggin rights until we do it again (March 2013). So let the SMACK begin!!! I had the ok last Saturday, but held off making a post until now. I was having a guilt complex about posting smack since those folks were so kind to us at the super slabfest......but now I'm over it and ready for some TRASH talk!

If you remember the Talquinettes barely won by 3 or 4 lbs last March mainly because the Monroe Monster Catchers we're pushed up into the river by 22 mph winds. Let's hope our luck changes this year and we show them some good weights. Here's the latest issue of "Gone Fishin" with a real nice article worth reading. Basically, 65pontiac flat out stole the show and most people consider him to be the newest and current legend of Talquin!! We're lucky to have him fishing with us on Monroe!!

All right ....calling all Talquinites......Winners of the previous Talquin vs Monroe Throwdown.......It's on for Dec 15 ......come and help the cause. We have showed the Monroe fishermen how to fish so it should (Ha Ha) be a little more of a challenge this go around. No special activities planned except Parade, Floats, Goodyear Blimp, this go around.
