    Default Holdin down the Fort

Took my daughter to Monroe this morning. Looked like Speckulater was launching at the public ramp as we came out the lagoon, Andy was up around lake George I believe and Ginny and Terrry had beat us out on Monroe. Headed to the opp and nobody home. Went in search mode and we ended with 38 coming in the boat and 14 over 12" coming home. Wind wind and more wind was on schedule for ua all today.

Here is the Twins both at 1lb 14oz

Had a great morning with my daughter as usual and sent her home with 4 bags of filets for her and her roommates.

What a great day you had! With all the family has gone through in the last week or so, you deserve it.
PS. You do such a nice job filleting, can you share anything other than practice ?

Clean about 500 flounder and specks are easy. But basically follow the bones carefully.

It was great to see you (briefly... :-) on the lake. I know this is gonna sound dumb but I never thought to use a clicker to count the fish. I just started fishing last winter so that's my excuse for blonde moments like that. Anyways, glad you had a great day with your daughter and Tucker! We fished til about 1130 and kept 8 for dinner and probably caught about 30 or so (no clicker and we always lose track). Stopped by the Deli at BoatTree Marina for philly cheesesteaks and fries before we made the trek home. I was sort of shocked to see how many boats were out there. I know it's been mentioned a lot but the few other times I went out the winds were high and there weren't that many boats. Made me want to throw back more fish.

Dont judge it by the number of boats. I was side by side to another boat for about an hour and never saw em catch a fish.

It was a great day! That water is cooling fast. Had to move to my usual late December area to find the better fish.

Oh yeah, good point. When we got back to Highbanks a guy came over and asked where we fished and when we said Monroe he looked surprised and said he floated across that lake all morning but do any good... said he only caught 2 all day.
