Thanks for your post Stu, and I'll talk to flycaster, but we never have had any specific rules for our slabfests reference start times and usually the host sets the end times. As far as the number of fish, it's always been five fish. I think it would be to everyone's advantage if they weighed live fish but some folks don't have live wells and they keep their catch on ice. Any of these conditions can be changed if the membership so desires. With that being said, I'm not sure how the guidelines could be more relaxed. Maybe some folks will post their ideas.

I won a tournament one time because a fellow's live well broke and all
his fish died .........................
As to my opinion in our case = a fish is a fish, dead or alive....

It is just for fun and to draw people. Ain't no big money at stake so don't figure no one would try something funny. If we start throwing a bunch a rules out people including myself will back away. I go to have fun, meet people, put faces with names, and enjoy the fellowship. Really kinda surprised this came up. People come from all different walks of life, some like sunrises while others like to sleep in. I say keep it simple, come fish with us and show us yer fish and name goes in and carries on. Lets go fry some fish and talk smack some about TNT and Lightwirehooker.

Here's the deal...The number of fish will be FIVE...Starting time will be ANYTIME you want to hit it on the day of the slabfest...Ending time will be when the HOST CALLS it...Fish can be DEAD or ALIVE. Have your FIVE fish to weigh culled from your catch. Unless you want to keep your catch, you might want to cull as you fish keeping the FIVE biggest fish.

He/she calls it when he/she made the initial post. The October 13th slabfest will be boats in at 1PM.
