    Default any Arbuckle Specks????

Due to many failed attempts at drawing decent hunting quotas, I have decided to give Avon Park Air Force Range a try this year....It is conveniently adjacent to Lake Arbuckle & Im hoping it is a decent crappie hole.... anybody out there ever fished it ??....Thanks

Last Quota I drew was for Lake Woodruff and was stoked to get it. Spent countless hours scouting it from the river, located several good spots with tons of fresh sign. Then FRAN hit and the areas I scouted were in about 4' of water. Took my bow and everything else I had for bowhunting to my brother in law in South Carolina. Only thing I put in for nowis the Sambar deer hunt in north florida. Don't know anything about Arbuckle.

Well then .....you are not much help.....Yeah the the quota system in this state is not the greatest for sure.....same thing happened to me last year....drew a decent spot for archery, but its only a 2 day hunt......after investing quite a bit of cash to get there & campground space, & gear & setting up stands & blinds....we got rained on for three days & nights....area was so deep we had to wait 2 weeks to get our gear back.............. Anyway.........Lets go people....need some input here.......I know somebody out there has tried Arbuckle......If you dont help me, I promise I will come to youre favorite lake & I will rake the place with soo many jigs the water level will rise a foot.....Im not Kidding people.....Just ask Stu, Danny, Rusty, & the Mikes......I have polluted there home waters with my presence in the past...& Ill do it again......Im just sayin.........

Alright I will confess! Went there this morning and got a limit of 12"+ fishing 8' of water pullin 1/16thoz roadrunners with bad blood and jawbreaker southern pro hot grubs at 1.1 mph longlining. Winds were calm and out the south. Water temp was 84. Dropped my camera overboard so no pics. Now I hope you will go and report back on how ya do. J/K but ya better go fishing soon before yer wife starts finding a bunch a chores for ya to do and ya get grounded at the ramp.

    Roy
When it comes to Polk county, Harold is the man for accurate lake info.
I do believe the Florida Crappie Club has a tourney scheduled there in the very near future.

Harold if your out there help point my brotha Roy in the right direction

I also believe the lakeland ledger newspaper has a good weekly outdoor report that might help ya home in on the fish as well.

    Good luck my friend!
