    Default New setup

Went to Lake Beresford to see if I like the change to my trolling setup. Looks like it's going to work out OK as now I can reach the rods without having to reach all the way to the back of the boat.

Had a problem though, could only catch these strange looking specks?????

This one was around a 18 to 20 pounder, scale only goes to 15. Caught on 1/16 oz jig 4# line what a mess he made with my lines.
0 specks trolling. Went north toward rt 44 and fished some trees and caught a few specks around 10:30am.
    This one was 1lb. 8oz.

All in all an ok day.............

Like the looks of those CUMBERLANDCRAPPIE Rod holders.
Got 4 sets myself, one for each corner plus 4 extra mounts to give me more versatility.

Amazing difference in a couple miles. I went to Monroe yesterday morning because wunderground said 3-5mph winds till 10:00AM and it was whitecapping at 8:00AM, yet Beresford looks fishable. Good news is we did pick up 3 fish in a not so usually good area of Monroe and boat bouncing around real bad. Went up river and caught a few more, all released to fight again.

Andy and Mike, glad you guys got out and caught something. I heard Monroe was back. Is it true?

I can't say for sure as I couldn't get past the first barrow pit and more than 4' deep due to wind. The ones i did catch were skinny yet. I am thinkin like Mike a couple 3 weeks or so and i bet they turn on a bit. That said, I will not be able to fish this coming weekend so there will probably be a mini blitz of action this weekend.

Yep but the river will be up and Harney is due for a barnstormer year. Woodruff is already lighting up as well so we got options.
