Default Hit the river this morning

Left Highbanks and found a nice size school of bait being worked hard. Pulled around and trolled em for an hour to get nothing. Left and went started fishing bushes. No Specks but managed 13 redbellies, 1 shellcracker and 1 bluegill. All left to bite again. Found Andy about 10:00 and he had 1 so I did not feel so bad. Was nice getting out again. Sure was hot out there. River is flowing strong but has decent color. Surface temp was 85.5.

Without a doubt I aint complaining. Needed the time on the water this morning and would have been good even if I scratched. But heck yea!! Come on cooler weather.

Yep, I like to give those crappies a chance to breathe over the Summer. Then I like to come back strong in September when they are bigger and stronger. Who am I kidding, the heat is ridiculous!!! I just can't get myself ready to take the boat out.
Glad you caught a few fish Mike!

Every trip out of my local favorite lake is a pain.......... all the up until I am on the water............... and then I always find myself very thankful I took the time and effort, because NOTHING beats the chance to enjoy the peace and tranquility of speck fishing

Miss ya my brotha! GET OUT AND FISH

Went Sunday myself, caught a few specks - all were at 11-12". Would show you some pics but the camera slid off the boat & is on the bottom. Oh, well it was a great day on the water & felt lucky just to be out.
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
