Is there something wrong with this picture. The article was just published today, but the size limit change was effective July 1st. This is July 30th today right! Oh well, looks like maybe this is old news. If so, sorry.

FYI:
New Crappie Regulations Now In Effect In Florida
As of July 1, there is a 10-inch minimum size limit for taking black crappie in Lake Griffin Fish Management Area in Lake County, Florida. The daily bag limit is still 25.
Just sayin, for those interested.

I was talking to a Wildlife officer over a month ago and he indicated that the size limit had been changed, but I could not find anything about online. I had previously posted a query on here and no one posted any comments to the accuracy of the report.
NOW if they would do something about the fishery in the rest of the Harris chain of lakes.
I believe this change will pay off for those fishermen within a couple of years...I'd like to see more lakes in GA and FL go this route.
x 2 on the 10 inch limit.
10 inch the limit satewide far as I care.....I've never kept one under 10" anyway...... and if they're doing pretty good never under 11"...... and if there doing great never under 12" . Mark your calendars we're having a crappiepalooza (slabfest) at Herlong Park (Lake Griffin) in February 23, 2013. There's a rumor slab will be in town. :Hands Clapping
