Jamin, did you try that rig at Manatee also? Try it at your top secret spot and let us know what it does. I understand the concept but too complicated for me. In my old age, for me it's the KISS method.

Indeed, there are folks in this world that are in one frame of mind or another at any given time, most of us are pretty happy-go-lucky and we can't even phantom that
someone might take offense at some small insignificant remark that we might make in a completely harmless way.
That's why I backed off from that drinking and coming on here and having a good time with the members. From past experience, I "knew" it was just a matter of
time before someone would tell me to "Shut your trap for awhile would ya" ! ! ! !
And, I didn't want to have to endure being scolded and brow beat, so, once I realized what I was building up to, I curtailed it (best I could) .......
    Just my 2 cents .......................................

    (next year = all ya'll suck at fishin) ! ! !

I was gonna take a crack at that oneRofl but I am glad to have left it alone.

I don't know we have a need to make a remark at all. Not like we are in a spelling bee.

He sent me about a dozen to try and and spread the word for him if they were productive. I have not spread the word for him because i dont do any better with them than i do with traditional tackle. Its nice to catch fish on something different but to me they were not more effective than the way i normally fish and they were kind of a hassle to fish with. If you did better with the alabama rig than you have been with your normal style of fishing then it sounds like a winner to me, that was just not the case when I used them. It is cool catching fish on things you make yourself so i know your proud of that, good job. If anyone wants one for free I will be glad to share the ones I have since I am not a big fan. i can mail em to anyone that is intrested, just shoot me a pm. Im sure my buddy would be glad if someone caught some fish on em and posted on here with the results, just let me know, i have about 5 or 6 left.

Jamin works very hard at catchin crappie (spec's) i have been whitness to several
of his weird rigs, and most of the time the ones you think are completely out of the
    box.....THEY WORK.....
With his new setup (boatwise) i don't believe he has been able to work on some of
latest rigs at Manatee. Primarly working with Tarpon as it follows patterns of most
lakes in Florida (fish bowl style) vs Power plant or water reservoir for a city.
Manatee has just everything you could think of: brush piles, river running through,
many, many curves, many various depths and finishes with a dam and some water
depth of 60 ft plus. Over the 35 plus years Jamin has worked that lake, he can
tell you everything about it in his sleep and tell what to fish when and where at any
time of the year.(SAD THING ABOUT MANATEE, YOU ARE RESTRICTED TO A 20 HP
MOTOR) WHICH TO MY THINKING IS COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BOX...BUT THE
CITY COUNCILMEN ARE IN CONTROL OF LAKE. i

He is my tournament partner and i learn something every time we are on the water..

We have a local deep clear lake we fish for crappie. A large clear (You can see your bait in 10' of water) A local had been using the regular alabama 5 wire to drop down into the deep trees 20' of water you can't see the trees just have to find them with your fishfinder. We started making the 3 wire rigs and using the lightest jigs you could get away with. Its like jigging a brush pile with 3 baits a school.Drop the rig down into the tree top start reeling real slow.We use powerpro 20' test 6ld dia. when you find the right tree you can load the boat. We use this 3 wire crappie rig to find them then once we find the right tree go to your single pole and really catch them. We have been trying them on different lakes at different water colors stained to clear have even beening catching some on our local river. Its a great rig to cover a lot of water fast.Espically on those tough and windy days!!!!! Just bought a handheld GPS having a hard time going back and finding the same tree in 20' of water you can't see.hopeing to be able to mark spots and go back to the same spot we have to be able to drop down right on top of the tree off 6 in no fish hit the right spot catch a limit!!!!!
