The creek is real narrow and shallow back their the deep curves are about 6 foot deep. It is beautiful and the fishing is good if you want to catch red bellies and some catfish also the strippers are running up in their right now. If you catch a speck back in their it is because it was lost. If you want to catch specks when you leave the Middleburg boat ramp take a right. You will come to the forks of the creek take a left and head east like you are headed toward Green Cove Springs. This area of the creek is real deep and hold more specks. I caught 10 last Saturday drifting minnows about 10 to 14 feet deep in 17 to 20 feet of water. Also try around some of the falling brush with jigs.
