If you had a choice of lakes or rivers to live on in Florida which one would you choose. And why.

Dunns Creek. There you have the best of both. Crescent Lake on one end and the St. Johns river on the other.
THE BEST TIME TO FISH IS WHEN IT'S RAINING AND WHEN IT'S NOT RAINING
65 Pontiac has a good choice...I am partial to Talquin...There is great fishing on Lake Talquin and also some good fishing in the 2 Rivers that feed it..It also has some country living around the lake without being too far from the city...It just depends on which part of Florida you would rather live.

That pond has dried up and all the cattails have died and the stumps have all rotted. The walking catfish are hitchiking trying to get to the Peace river.

yea with no more rain than what weve had, the walking catfish are carrying canteens.
Just saying what a state we live in. The beauty of some of these places is just awesome to me. I know I won't get to see them all before I'm gone, but I sure would like to. Came across some pics of Istopoga, where FCC is having a tournement today. What a beautiful place.

Your not far from there, you should make a trip. If you like catching bluegills and shellcrackers the may flies should be hatching, the fish will gather in the reeds to feed on the flies when they crawl out to dry their wings, locals call then chizzywinks. Keep in mind if you go that lake can and will get rough right now when the wind comes up. Good speck fishing also.
The ICW around St. Augustine. Still close to Crescent but on top of some 1st class flounder.
