Speckanator, sorry your group didn't put a hurting on them boys from Talquin but from what I am reading you all had a good time. The wind can really put a damper on things at Monroe, wish I could have been there to help.

A big congats. go out to the Talquin guys. Going to miss the smack talk til the next Throw Down. Sorry for not sticking around for the weigh-in and lunch. My better half had birthday plans for me so thought I better get home knowing the traffic was going to be heavy because of bike week. Got home with just enough time to clean myself up and off to party. And yes I am feeling it this morning. Caught some nice fish but obviously not nice enough. Hopeing someone comes up with plans for a Slabfest next month.

I had some boat issues Saturday morning also and that wind blowing at 15-20 didn't help any!!!...Just got home and I'll post some pics shortly...This was a Great event for all those involved...Congrats and a big Thank You goes out to everyone on both lakes!!!

Well on my way home tonight my transmission in my truck decided to go out on me. Got towed with the boat to chief land wal-mart now waiting for my buddy Chris to come with his gooseneck trailer to get me. What a way to end a great weekend. Lol can't get mad it wouldn't help anything just glad I bought a new truck on Friday. I should have drove it instead of the one.

I stopped by the weigh in to see who caught big ones...alas didn't see any, nor did my limit of 12 inchers help. Sorry, was late to pick up the kids and couldn't stay. told BLSD to pass on my thanks...saw Jacob early starting that 20 hp at the ramp, then fished a secret hole, and no big ones saturday for us...

Well, now there's the report. We had a very similar experience CoastalAngler. I wonder where all the 15-16" fish were on Saturday?
