Anyone heard anything from Astor?

Got my uncle and little cousin coming down from SC to fish with me this weekend. Thinkin bout taking a trip down to Astor, anyone heard any decent reports lately?

The rest of the river has been doing good, don't see why Astor would be different.

Im going Friday mornin. With the wind blowinf hard it seems like a good choice. Im sure I can get out of it somewhere in the river.

SYG how was the fishing in Astor. Trying to decide if I should take my Dad to Lake George or over to Crescent next Friday. Running from Welaka to Lake George is about the same as hauling the boat over to Crescent. I haven't heard any reports from the St Johns, Lake George or Oklawaha. I know Crescent has been pretty good this year. Any input fellas greatly appreciated.

The lakes I drive by to go to work in the mornings just scream my name / great conditions............. come the weekends............BLAH............YO ANDY stay home the next 2 months will ya ................. Imagine the guys with $800.00+ payments on offshore boats that are just sitting watchin em rot between the weather and gas prices. Sure is nice sneakin back in a small slough off the river out the wind.
