It was blowing when I launched and just kept on blowing, caught em casting jigs.
The Powerpro line helped a lot, could feel the bite and not as much bow in the line as with mono. Had to kneel down some times to get out of the wind and keep the rod as low as possible.

Good job on a difficult day. I use the braid on my 8' rods for vert jigging and feel bites I never have before. I'm sold. When's dinner?

You are welcome anytime, just a word of warning, I can be a pain to fish with when it's tough, I just fish harder.

Ha! That is awesome! I must warn you too. When the going gets tough, Luke gets going. Just kidding. But I digress. I'd love to do some casting and jigging(out of the wind).
    Thanks Crappieday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice fish. Helluva catch on a windy day or any day at that.

Look into the power pro 10/2 or smaller and yellow in color. I have used it for casting and done well, but it takes a mono backing to be the best. I don't use more than 100 feet over the mono cuz it gets messy when hung and pulled down into the spool. If they're finicky I use a few feet of fluoro on the end, double uni knot works best to join the two. Don't grab it like mono, it'll cut you to the bone. Keep us posted.
