CG1 - Another outstanding slideshow. My family and I are happy to be in this one. Knowing the wife, she'll have some of our family in Georgia on crappie.com in the near future to check it out as well.

Great job on the slide show CG1, but how was the fishing? I see a couple fish there in the pics. Was it as good as it was at Monroe?
Slab, We really didnt get a chance to take pictures of the fish because when we first came it the FWC folks were there and I took our fish stright over to them after weighting in. They said something about how they have to open the fish up to get to the ear bones? but by the time they were done the fish..............didnt look so great for pictures LOL

Didnt quite get the picture at that time but now I completely understand................off with their heads lol

Fish seemed about the same as Monroes (The last fest Ed got a 2.3 pder, this last one at Crescent lake, Chuck picked one up prefishing the day before the same size)

Safe to say the river system is producing good fish.

I think our fish ran between 1.79 and 1.65, but we were lucky enought to find a few.

I didnt get the pictures but in the end it still felt great to help out the FWC and their efforts in studying the lake.

I was an honor just to place in this crowd of folks and I got a few very snazy trophies to smile at.

It was another great time Ed and you would have been proud

Fishing or should it be CATCHING was a bit of a challenge for some of us.

Heaviest fish 1.795 Lb. went to team of Crapslabstu and Rocketman
Heaviest five fish 8.28 Lb went to WHO ELSE team of Crapslabstu and Rocketman.
Heaviest fish WOMEN'S Division 1.69 LB Went to Mrs Slabkeeper
Second Place for Heaviest 5 fish 5.65 Lb went to team of Mr and Mrs Slabkeeper
Third Place for Heaviest 5 fish 4.52 Lb went to Crappieday

There was a special guest attending. Cheree Steward Biological Scientist II, Freshwater Fisheries Research, Florida Fish & Wildlife Research Institute, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, 601 W. Woodward Ave., Eustis, FL 32726
She had requested permission to collect some data on the fish that was caught "The data I need would involve measuring the fish after weigh-in and removing their otoliths (“ear bones”) to determine their age".

Checking of the"ear bones" of the large fish that Crapslabstu and Rocketman brought in the age of the fish was determined to be 7 Years Old

Several door prizes were given out.
