Not to bad for this ol Florida cracker to catch his biggest Speck ever along with host fishin813 catching his biggest ever on same day in a river they had never been on before. What a thrill. And to beat all I bet there are bigger ones in there. Fishin813 runnin the boat and me ridin he mention about me runnin the boat and I reply "why would I want to do that" I can see two old men trying to change places in that flat bottom canoe. I asked 813 if he thought we should put them back for breeding stock. He retorted by asking me " are you nuts! I didn't ask again.

On a serious note we both have and wear PFD"s that inflate when they get wet. These are no combersome and after a little fishing you forget you even have it on. Wish all of you would consider getting and wearing one. You could save your family a lot of pain. Off my box.

Thanks folks for looking and maybe we can do it again real soon

Congratulations on the big fish Yelim. The big ones are RARE fo sure. I've caught very few in that range over the years and never weighed them so I can't claim to have caught any that big. I've caught my limit more times than I can count, but it's catching the slabasouras that get you pulse rate up. Thanks for sharing.

Yelim, you have the right idea about releasing the big girls for breeding reasons. I'm quite impressed that you thought about it because if I'm honest, it would have been awfully hard for me to let her go.
    Nice catch guys!!!

You don't have to tell us exactly what lake or river but at least narrow it down some, Polk county is a heck of a peice of property.

Ah yes Parrish, what a power plant impoundment...........big big big fish came out
of there...........8,000 acres...........only could fish it once or twice a month........
9-1-1 really hurt the fishermen that went there............no way to fish it since.....
    by anyone from outside world.............shame..................

Going to take these girls and have them mounted - got couple appointments this pm
to look a couple of guys work.....

I still get a little shaky when thinking about hooking those fish yesterday..........

Yelim was heck of good partner - big team player, with wind conditions, boat rockng
in white caps - having to keep her runnin and reel same time, Ron pullling rods out of
way, getting net ready but can only reach so far because of everything else in boat,

Not only did we both get one, but what size they were, on micro-lite with #4
    test line.

    I'm still pumped up!! ! !!! ! !! !!!

Exceptional quality, especially on "unchartered" waters. Definitely a trip you can't "polk" holes in, lol!
