Default Night fish a full moon

would you anchor up with a light in the water or no light? Troll or drift? Deep holes or close to the pads. Going to go out this full moon (Saturday). Have never tried it on a full moon.

I personally stay away from full moon night fishing.........never really had any good
nights compared to 6 - 7 days after full moon....is best up to about 9 days after.

this time of year would look for 8 - 10 ft water close to the grass and/or pads...
or old creek turns in lake...
Fish are in transition to from pads/grass to deeper water.........females are still
laying out in the deeper water.. going to / from pads..
Males are in grass & pads only moving during happy hour (1 hr before dark)
Winds out of North - Northeast - East to me are best..for nightfishing, small ripple
on water, not dead calm.. Most spec's have not spawned yet in Kissimmee, but will
get on it this full moon, not to much in mood to bite.

    My opinion only...

I have read that on the full moon if the sky is clear crappie will feed at night.

i have fished for them in rain, fog, clear and cloudy nights on full moon and it makes no
difference, must be something with gravitational pull with full moon.......they just don't
go full bore after the minnow. Have always done better 7-9 days after the full moon
Water temp means a lot - down here the baraometric pressure can move 2 millibars and
its shuts them down... ie: 30:04 to 30:06 and they will stop...when you can get the
pressure to run steady for 2 - 4 hrs they will hit good. optium time to catch fish is
when baraometric pressure is 29:90 to 30:15..........that is the top end of chart......
Again this is my 2C....and i'm not close to being expert at night fishing..........
Old Story: Location - presentaion & fish will produce a fine catch.

That's very interesting about the barometric pressure. I was thinking that if they go to spawn on full moon that it might be a good night. The water temp. here in the creek today was 67 and with the warm days coming up it should be 70-71 by then. Have to give it a try. Oh yea, they sure can mess up an 8 pole spider rig real quick...........wreck havick
destroy, all the above and than sum.....sometimes a person can invent new words
not even close to a dictionary to say
Most consider themselves lucky to be able to cut & retie 3 rods out of 8....

Make sure to give a report! I was thinking about the same thing. If you're going where I think you are I'd be real curious what trolling through those deep holes would produce on a full moon in March. Should be interesting. Have fun and watch out for the gators!
