    Default Lake cescent

Lake Crescent Meeting in the Middle Big crowd?....No, Big catch?....No:o, Big time? The Biggest!!!:D Thanks to everyone who attended for one of the most enjoyable weekends my wife and I have ever had. This was a gathering of some of the most die hard, knowledgeable Crappie fishermen and ladies I have ever had the pleasure to meet. We arrived on Friday and everyone scouted the lake then met that evening for dinner at one of the local eating establishments. Over dinner we all shared fishing tips and enough colorful fishing stories to fill a book. On Saturday we hit the water at sunrise and fired up the grease around 1:30pm. The weather was perfect. The fellowship continued over some great fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, beans and pound cake. The fishing stories again were plentiful and even more colorful than the night before. This is what it's all about! Sharing fishing information with each other and learning more about the hobby we all enjoy. No one was worrying about giving away secret lakes, hot spots or techniques. These were unfamiliar people with a common interest coming together and leaving as friends.

    Thanks again to everyone!

Best week-end Trudy and I have spent in a long time! Weather was great - sunrise beautiful - old and new friends - good food - a day fishing is great, but when packaged like this week-end - nothing better.
Thanks to everyone, especially Mike and Susan for the organizing.

WOW, what a weekend. Met some awsome people with the same interest, great weather, and their love for fishing. Sure hope we can do this again. You guys have the lakes down there so maybe someone pick one and a date and you can bet that I'll be there. Thanks Mike&Susan for the planning and cooking.

We're toying with the idea of having a meeting at the Clermont Chain next. Hopefully it will happen soon and maybe we can pry some hot spots out of CrapSlabStu.

I would like the chance to participate in another crappie meeting with everyone too. I am jealous hearing about the fishing and fellowship. I am in.
