    Default Weedless hooks

Who uses weedless hooks when fishing for crappie in the weeds? Advantages and disadvantages?

I used them for several decades, and still do, but just when casting to brushpiles or downed trees ... the lakes I fish have no "weeds".

I would think they'd be the "go to" for stands of weeds/pads, but if there's clingy moss they're not that geat.

Like Pappy said, I use them around wood and sometimes in pads.
