That's funny...one of my earlier fishing memories was me, my friend and his dad trout fishing the Cranberry River in WV. We were fishing this hole with some lunkers when something caught my eye in the trees. Something was flying tight circles around a branch. Didn't think much till I looked back up 20 minutes later and it was still doing it....very tight perfect circles, so we went and investigated.

Someone had lost a fly in the branches and broke it off. A bat had eaten the fly and hooked itself!? We got up there, grabbed the bat and got the hook out with pliers to release him.

Also caught my biggest rainbow ever in that hole...dropped him on the way to show everyone, right in a small creek. I tell ya I belly flopped into that water on a 30 degree day and corralled that thing into the shallows to grab him again with my hands! Then went back to camp!
