My brother-n-law John and his buddy Henry went floundering on one of the islands near the Houston ship channel. It had gotten dark and they decided to build a fire. Henry was going to turn over this wooden reel side when john told him don't do it. Henry did it anyway and John instanly launched his gig. He now has a 5 ft rattlesnake pinned with a 4 foot gig. John takes Henry's gig. He is going to pull his gig up and knock the snake off. Everytime John goes to unpin the snake Henry backs away with both of the lanterns. Finally John told him if he didn't keep the lanterns close enough for him to see the snake he was going to throw it on him. Between the both of them they finally got rid of the snake.

Shot one bow fishing one time, first and last time I will ever do that... It broke my line at first and had to chase it down to get my arrow back. Shot it again and threw it up in the 14' jon boat between me and my wife. Dug my arrow out and went about shooting fish. About 30 min later I hear a loud THUD. I look back and the beaver has his head up looking at me and my wife is on the motor in the back of the boat screaming. I will not discuss the rest.

We were fishing guntersville late one evening, we we heard this boat coming toward us 3 guys camo, rock and roll blasting with bows. we both thought gar hunters then they shot and the fight was on and itwas a big beaver, they shot it 3 times in next 15 to 20 mins. we couldnt believe what we were seeing, we finally left and the beaver was still not in the boat
