I think papa sages knife is a Damascas blade. I have had a Case knife since i was 4 years old.Dad snaped the blade in half so i would not fall on it.Got a box of em.My favorite is a Damascus Case Canoe.It has a first cut stag handle,and it is beautiful.Thought I lost it once, and felt bad for days.

sounds like me, my grandpa snapped the tip off a oldtimer when I was 4 and gave it to me when we was trout fishing. I got a picture from that exact day too. People will say hey you broke the tip off that knife. All i say is I wouldn't take that tip back for nothing in this world. I've since retired that knife the day of his funeral the last day i carried it.

now i got a knife i carry sometimes as a conversation piece is my great grandpa's knife that he used to open corn bags when making moonshine. you talking about sharp when i got it no nobody had touched it since him. swear you could split a frogs hair 9 ways with it.
