I wish that I had some pictures of this day,but it was well before a digital camera was even thought about.I was looking at a post on the crappie fishing forum called YoungUns tonight,Well just now.It sent memories into my head like never before,So,here it is.
We were fishing in a like here in Arizona called Saguaro Lake,I did'nt gas up the boat,and thought that I should before we got too far away.We were fishing,mostly just catching bluegills,and I decided to go to the marina to gas up.I pulled in the boat to the gas pump and off he went,fishing rod in one hand and a carton of nightcrawlers in the other.The girl there said there is no fishing allowed on the pier with the boats slipped unless you are a member.He was about 6 or 7 years old,so they did'nt say anything.This boy came back with about 15 crappie on a stringer,just jumped on the boat,and told the girl and I that he was done and ready to go home,lol.Still to this day,I have never caught a crappie on a nightcrawler.He is 22 now,and still talks about that day.
