Humminbird SI

Getting ready to bite the bullet and get a Humminbird. Been saving my pennies for awhile and have enough to buy either the 1197 or 997. I looked at the 1197 and it seems a bit overkill and not sure I would like something that big on my console. So been watching the 997 on ebay. Can someone who has one tell me if this is good and everything I need?

I would find one without the NVB and just buy a Navionics card for maps. Other than that, the 997 is all you need. The 1197 is just too big unless you have a big boat to put it on.:D

X2 on the size of the 1197 it's hard to seeover at times. I think I would have just as well off with the 997. JMO :D
