Transducer Probs
Need some ideas on mounting a transducer on the inside of an aluminum boat and it actually reading at 40 mph. Everytime that I have tried this I couldn't get it to read and don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help will really be appreciated. Thanks

I heard of a guy that cut both ends out of a tin can and glued it to the bottom of his boat and dropped the transducer in the can for his mount, don't know how it would read at speed or how he found the right location. I guess you could mount it with tub grout and keep moving it until you got the best location for a good read.

Fuge, here'a a link on the subject......... Shooting Transducer thru an aluminum hull: Xpress Boats: BBC Boards ......... May not help, but the 2nd post in the thread speaks of a transducer just for shooting thru aluminim hulls. They're pricey...

You can take some pictures of the back of the boat and email them to me and maybe we can give you some suggestion. The first thing I would get is a transon saver for aluminum so when you do move it around you do not have a bunch on drill holes in your boat trying to find the right spot.
