I usually have my lights (which I rarely have to use) hooked up to the same battery as the TM. I don't have anything else connected. Does anyone think this would be a problem? Would I be safe to continue to use this set up or do I need to rewire for the lights on the boat?

    Thanks

This is crazy nonsense. The autopilot is electronics and so is the copilot add on. This is the CYA clause at its best. I understand the purpose of this clause....

I do not like/use the co-pilot because I cant fine tune the speed increments. I use a wired hand remote that is mounted next to my front seat to operate my trolling motor. It has an 18 foot long cord so I can use it anywhere in the boat if I need to, but it never leaves the front of the boat. I wouldn't have anything else...Works great!!

I always used a hand control until I got my Power Drive V2. It took me a while to get used to that electric steering as it will sure take you more than where you want to go very quickly. I never have wanted the copilot, but I've got a fairly small boat you dont want to walk around in. I do wish I had the autopilot, so I wouldn't have to keep adjusting the steering if I'm going from one side of the lake to the other.
