    Default GPS coordinates

Had a friend buy a used boat and the guy left his GPS on the boat with some waypoints. They are not named just numbered don't even know the state location. Is there a web site where you can enter the coordinates and it will show you where is the location?

I think Google Earth will let you do that.

Most gps units have a "go to" or "man overboard" feature. When useing this feature you can usually access a page that will give you distance and direction to the waypoint. That may give you an idea of what state or lake it may be.

    SteveJ,
This link will allow you to type in coordinates and then it will show you a map.

I was able to figure it out with some help from a GPS site using these #'s on MapQuest..

You have to drop the 0 and put in a - sign, entering the 0 gives you nothing and if you drop it it gives you some place in China. Don't know about Google Earth as I can't find a place to enter the #'s. Guess you have to download GE to be able to use that unlike using MQ.
