Are there others like me who purchase expensive latest edition fishfinders with all the bells and whistles, only to set them on Auto because you don't understand them? I purchased a Lowrance LCX26cHD with GPS and found an owners manual that is way over my head. Are there on line tutorials or someplace I can get tips and advice on some of the more desirable features of this unit? Maybe it is just me, but I can't seem to get the hang of GPS and relate it to my fishfinder. I read an article in Bass and Walleye Boats Magazine about setting the Ping Speed and the Chart Speed at high settings. Has anyone tried that, and if so does it have any benefit. I am a Crappie fisherman and seem more suited to the less complicated fishfinders, but I always have to step out there and try something new. Any straightforward tips anyone can give on this unit would be appreciated.
