    Default MK question

I got a question about the MK Edge Bow Mount Trolley motor mounted on the bow of my Lund boat. The warranty says any exposure to saltwater will ruin the wires, connectors, terminals, etc. I know if I use the motor itself in saltwater, adios motor. Would I have to go as far as removing the motor from the boat itself before heading out to the big pond with JR and PJ35?

Hey stranger, question? With all your boats, why the lund? I believe that there are some differences in seals and the coating on the unit. Internal design might be the same. A good coating of a protective coating applied before fishing, liberal washing after use would help extend the life of the motor. Of course MK has a disclaimer that will still void warranty.

It seems odd to give suggestions to a man who has had so much equipment and so much experience.

I doubt if you remember, but I remember you showing up at my door in Terre Haute, tired and needing some much needed sleep. After you slept, my wife at the time had dinner fixed and afterwards, you continued to OK. Remeber also being with you and a group of other fishermen in MO at a tournament, when your first wife walked in. When I pointed her out, "son, I'm going to marry her" was your response and you did marry her. That was in the middle 60's. Funny how life has enabled us to enjoy a great sport and meet a lot of good fishermen.

    Nice seeing talking with you.
