    Default Lowrance 522igps c

i was at Gander m. today and noticed they had 1, 522 left on there shelf for 499.00 , i had been coinciding this unit so at that price i took it.

I'm still uncertain if this is how i want to go i want to be practical so I'm still thinking about buying a fish finder and a hand held gps, will i be happy with this unit, I'm not going to open it and if i chose differently i have up to 2 weeks to take it back. Open for some big help with my decision

I like my 520c and I haven't got it on the boat yet. Just been playing with it in the living room

I have one. I was up graded from a 332. The first 522 didn't work right and Lowrance replaced it. The 522 I have now can be a little slow tracking when spider rigging. If you keep it make sure the unit is mounted out in the open, it keeps connected better.

one of my concerns is this unit might be to much for my needs, my usage well be small inland lakes in Michigan at 60 ft. or less in depth fishing for crappie. I never had a gps and my thought is if i had a hand held gps i could use it when I'm in my boat or in the winter ice fishing. Any one else thought the same and realized having both is a pain in the ass

what would be a good choice for a fish finder if i decided to go with a hand held gps, also i downloaded the demo of this unit and the sonar part seems pretty easy , the gps i haven't totally figured out yet

I have had one for several months now spider fishing and like it. Mine is mounted on front of boat in open.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

I couldn't put temp, speed, depth on both screens. And it kept looseing connection to the satalites. Sometime not even connecting. As long as they replace it for free, I'm happy.
