Eagle Fish Elite 480 needs repair

I have an Eagle fish elite480 and it seems to have a short in the power/backlight button. As long as the power cable is connected the power stays on and the backlight flashes. Is there anyway to fix it? Has anyone had similar trouble? The factory warranty is out of date.

Call eagle they may fix as a good will gesture.I have had great sucess talking to them.

I hate to say it but, everyone I know that has sought to have their eagle/lowrance unit repaired said the cost was almost as much as a new one.

i droped my x25c and messing up the gps where it wouldnt work back in mid nov and my 1 yr warrenty ran out on nov 1 i call them told them what happened they said send it inand they will fix it.. sent it in on nov 25 and had it returned on dec 3 with a new unit and a extended 1yr.. had nothing the best of luck with lowrance

I had Lowrance replace a X 15 that was 2 weeks out of warranty. No Charge. Good people.
