    Default Interlink curiosity

Got it in yesterday, put it together last night, and tried it out -

Let me say, I'm inside a metal-frame building, so GPS reception is
    a no-go...

So I hooked everything up, and fired both units up in simulator mode.
It let me sync the waypoints and all, showed my weathersense on the
front df, everything seemed to be working fine.

Then it started losing interlink, then regaining it -
and I started to get that old feeling in the pit of my stomach,
    trouble.

But got to thinking, and hooked to the boat and pulled it outside, let
it lock onto satellites, and it works fine out there.

So FYI, if your putting on an interlink, don't spaz out till you get it outside

    Thumbs up

I installed one a few months ago to help me out with the 797 problem we all know about. You'll love it.

Yeah, I purchased a interlink a few months back after purchasing the 997. I had 777c on the boat that I used on the front. I have had to have this unit worked on by Humminbird 3 times and lost GPS coordinates everytime. Anyway, I got all of this installed and was going to tranfer all the coordinates fro the 777c and the whole GPS portion of the unit will not operate. It does not even pull up screens for the GPS. I sure hope the 997 works better than this 777c that I have.

What was the fix?? I have a 777c2 I'm going to connect (with Inter Link) to my new 1197. I would like a heads up on the problem and fix if you could.
But I have never had any problem with the 777c2 had it about 2 years now.
    Thanks

You should not have any problems then. I have had problems with my unit from the start. They were going to replace with a new one this time but I noticed they put another board of some sort in it again. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have sent it off, hopefully I will have no more problems out of it. I have it hooked up to the interlink now and everything is working fine. It normally goes out on a day before a tournament or the day I take someone fishing from out of town. We will see!!!

Well, it worked for one trip and guess what, the unit does not pick-up anything from the gps again. Is there anyway to hook-up a lowrance to the interlink?
